Introduction:
- Inform the students that this is the last class for the unit plan.
- Tell them that today; they will compare what they learned from what they predicted on the very first day.
Development:
- Ask the students to take out their Language Arts duo-tang.
- Tell the students that we will fill out the third part of the KWL chart, as a class.
- The last part consists of what student has learned throughout this unit plan.
- Teacher must project the original KWL chart on the Smart Board.
- As a class, have a group discussion about what the students learned from this unit plan.
- Also discuss what can be done in order to change these stereotypes.
- Discuss what children can do in their environment about cultural diversity.
- Teacher should write the students’ answers on the Smart Board.
Conclusion:
- Students will then have to blog about what they learned throughout this unit.
- Inform the students that this is the last blog for the unit plan.
- This blog should incorporate all aspects of the unit plan.
- It should be well written.
- It should include how cultural diversity is demonstrated throughout school
evironment.
- The students should also suggest something that they can do in order to change
cultural diversity in their environment.
